One Google sign-in covers a group of Google services at once. It is worth understanding, because which Google account you use is a decision you live with.

What it covers

A single Google authorization gives access to:

  • Drive and Sheets — for file storage and exports
  • Gmail — so email can send from your own address rather than a generic one
  • Analytics — website traffic reporting
  • Google Ads — which is what powers Google lead ads

🔴 Your Google Business Profile and your Google Calendar are NOT part of this. They are separate connections with their own setup, even though they are all "Google" and may use the same login. See Google Business Profile and Google Calendar. Connecting this one does not connect those, and disconnecting it does not disconnect them.

Which account to use — think about this one

Use a business Google account that the business owns. Not a personal Gmail, and not an employee's account.

The reason is simple: whoever owns that account controls the connection. If it belongs to an office manager and they leave, the connection leaves with them — usually discovered when appointments stop syncing or reviews stop arriving, weeks later, with nobody able to sign in and fix it.

If you use Google Workspace with addresses at your own domain, use one of those. If everything currently runs through a personal Gmail, that still works — but it is worth moving to something the business owns, and the day you set this up is the cheapest time to do it.

What you need on your side

  • The account's password, and access to wherever its two-factor codes go — a phone in the room, not a phone at home.
  • Admin rights on whatever you are connecting — being signed in as the right person is not the same as that person having permission.

Getting it connected

Ask support. Google will show a consent screen listing exactly what access is being granted; you approve it, and we test it before we finish.

Good to know

  • Google expires these connections. Password changes, security reviews, and long periods without use all break them. You'll get an email if one drops, and reconnecting takes a couple of minutes.
  • You can revoke it at any time from your Google account's security settings, without asking anyone. It is your account. Tell us if you do, so we can turn off anything that depended on it.
  • We never see your password. The sign-in happens on Google's own screen.
